Ableton unveils new website aimed at educating aspiring producers

Have you ever wanted to get into producing music but didn’t know where to start? Well your search is over. Earlier this week Berlin based music software company Ableton launched a new website intended at educating aspiring producers.

The “Learning Music” website features an interactive walkthrough that covers everything from beats to melodies to song structure and more.

In each chapter the user is able to interact with a digital beat pad and is given a step by step guide through the basics of producing music.

In the “Beats” section, users get their chance to try their hand at putting together what they learned by recreating some notable beats such as “We Will Rock You” by Queen, “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” by Beyoncé, as well as a few others.

Similar music examples can be found throughout the course.

Once the basics are covered users move onto more advanced information and examples.
