Memorable Moments from the 2017 BET Awards

The 2017 BET Awards proved to be a night full of entertaining performances with a perfect blend of old school and new school. Check out some of the most memorable moments:

“Saturday Night Live” star, Leslie Jones, hosts the 2017 BET awards. This was her first time hosting an awards show and there was no shortage of laughter as she compared new school versus old school hip hop.

Remy Ma wins the award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist and accepts by spitting a few bars.

Rising Star Jessie Reyes slows it down and give us goosebumps with her solo performance of ‘Figures.’ This Toronto-born singer has been involved in music since the age of three and blends together influences from pop, hip hop and R&B.

Chance the Rapper accepts BET’s Humanitarian Award for his efforts to better the Chicago Public School system. He also won Best New Artist, beating out Cardi B, 21 Savage, Khalid and Young M.A.

Kendrick Lamar wins the award for Best Male Hip Hop Artist and puts on a surprise performance with Future.

While Quavo, Offset and Takeoff, better known as Migos, were reportedly dodging drama all night, it was their performance with Post Malone that got our attention.

DJ Khaled performs “I’m the One” with Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne. As if this isn’t enough excitement for one performance, DJ Khaled carried his son, Asahd Khaled, on stage causing hearts everywhere to melt.

New Edition accepts the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award. The members, Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, Ronnie DeVoe, Ralph Tresvant, Ricky Bell performed a mix of their classics
