Stanton Releases Lighter Weight ST.150 M2 and STR8.150 M2 Turntables
By reengineering “from the ground up,” Stanton has released updated versions of their super high torque turntables, the ST.150 M2 and STR8.150 M2. According to Stanton, they went back to the basics with this new redesign to create a lighter, sleeker version. The heavy-duty aluminum construction with low resonance base comes in at only 22.5lbs, compared to its predecessor that weighed about 36lbs. The all black finish adds to a refined and fresh look.
Both models are a direct drive turntable with motor torque up to 4.5kg. The ST.150 M2 has a standard S-shaped tonearm and the STR8.150 M2 has a “skip-proof” straight tone arm, both complemented by an ultra-stable platter to provide a sturdy and dependable set up.
Some additional features include:
- Adjustable brake speed
- Selectable pitch control (8, 25 & 50% range) with Quartz Lock
- Speed 33, 45 and 78 including Reverse
- Removable target light and adjustable shock-absorption feet
- Selectable Phono or Line RCA Outputs
- Slip mat, 45 adapter and right-angled cable included
- Ultra-stable, damped platter
- Full version of Deckadance DVS Software included
