Los Angeles’s very own Tim Alejandro (DJ Turbulence) began his music career at the age of 13. It’s tough to get recognized in the DJ industry whether it’s becoming the champion of a battle or a celebrity in the club scene. Turbulence’s craft and skill earned him a spot at being both. The Los Angeles native got heavily influenced by some radio stations such as Power 106 and 92.3 The Beat. He shares how he would record the station mixes and use them as a study guide to perfect his craft. Little did he know that his dedication to the art would land him several A-list venue residencies across the globe.

His career took off in 2004 when Power 106 hired him as the Radio DJ. This opened doors for Turbulence landing him performances and openings for some huge artist like Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Kanye West, Nas, Nate Dogg and many more. In 2005, he teamed up with DJ Phonics creating the duo named The Tom Cruisaders. The duo dominated the DMC USA Teams comp in 2005, 2009, 2010 and again in 2011. The Tom Cruisaders took four national titles making history.

His skill began to attract attention from various groups. SKAM Artist Management was one of the groups able to come to an agreement with Tim on becoming an affiliate. He continues to work hard to further and perfect his talent. Watch the full interview below to see what he has planned for the near future.
