Celebrate 808 Day With a Free TR-808 Drum Sample Sound Pack

BPM Supreme is celebrating 808 Day and Roland’s legendary TR-808 drum machine by giving you a sound pack stacked with 808 drum samples. The best part? It’s free.

Roland’s TR-808 was released in 1980 and was one of the first drum machines with programmable rhythms. Famous for its “boom and sizzle,” the 808 wasn’t commercially successful in the beginning. In 1982 with the release of “Planet Rock” by Afrika Bambaataa, the 808 would create an unforgettable sound and go on to inspire hundreds of hits.

Our free 808 Day sound pack was created by BPM Supreme’s sound design expert, Mike Acosta, and offers multiple versions of TR-808 drum samples:

  • Original TR-808 ran thru an API 212L Pre + API 2500 Stereo Compressor then sampled into an MPC 60
  • Original TR-808 ran thru an API 212L Pre + Filters and Various Distortion FX which then were sampled into an MPC 3000
  • Roland R8 MKII (808 Kit) ran thru an API 212L pre + Filters & Various Saturation FX
  • 808 Bonus Subs with extended decays thru an API 212L Pre + Various Filters & Distortion FX
  • Sampler Formats for Ableton Live 10 Drum Racks, Akai MPC X & 2.5 Software, Native Instruments Maschine 2.0 and Serato Studio 1.0

We recently released a free 707 Day sound pack and have more great packs coming soon. To learn more, check out the video above and download the free 808 Day sound pack here
