Congratulations to the 2018 DMC U.S. Finals DJ Battle Winners

This past Sunday, the DMC U.S. Finals DJ Battle went down at Temple Nightclub in Denver, Colorado. It was a packed house and BPM Supreme was there to catch all of the action. Congratulations to DJ Throdown who took home 1st prize, and shout out to the 2nd and 3rd place runners-up, DJ FlipFlop and DJ Perly, respectively.

The DMC DJ Battles are the longest running and most prestigious DJ battles in the world. Presented by Rane and Mile High DJ Supply, Sunday night’s event had competitors show off their skills with a six-minute showcase routine.

1st Place – DJ Throdown

DJ Throdown from Washington, D.C. wowed a panel of judges, all battle champion veterans themselves, including 2011 DMC World Champion, Chris Karns. In addition to taking home the national title, DJ Throdown won a Rane Seventy-Two mixer and other prizes from D.A.S. Audio, Shure, Digital DJ Pool, Ortofon, and ThudRumble. He also will receive a free trip to London to represent the USA at the DMC World DJ Championships in October.

2nd Place – DJFlipFlop

DJ FlipFlop was the 2nd place runner-up of the evening. This DJ, producer, turntablist, and mixing engineer has been performing and competing in battles for over 10 years. Check out some more of his awesome skills on this On Deck episode.

3rd Place – DJ Perly

Defending her 2017 U.S. DJ Battle championship, DJ Perly came in 3rd place. This Bronx, NY native was the first-ever female U.S. DMC champion and is also a 3x Freestyle Monday’s DJ Champion.
