Hodor Headlining at Rave of Thrones in Australia
Kristian Nairn, better known as Hodor from Game of Thrones (GOT), will be hosting Rave of Thrones with select dates in Australia this October.
You may not know but in addition to being a simple minded giant that protects children, Hodor is also a house music DJ and producer. Well technically Nairns is a house DJ. Actually he has been DJ-ing for decades, and has opened for Alphabeat, Calvin Harris, Mylo and Scissor Sisters to name a few. The Irish actor is also a member of two bands, AJ Suzuki and Daddy’s Little Princess. He held a residency at Kremlin in Belfast for over 11 years. And his remixes have been spun by house legends Grant Nelson and Freemasons.
In 2014 Nairns debuted Rave of Thrones in Sydney to great success. Australian publishers at inthemix were on the scene, and they say to expect actors wearing costumes, visuals made out of footage from the show (that include full frontal nudity), pyrotechnics and a replica of that big chair made out of swords.
This year the actor/DJ/producer teams up with Movement to bring five show dates in Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. According to the press release, DJ Hodor, “will be showcasing some of the deepest house from all seven kingdoms at his very own Rave Of Thrones.” Guests are required to dress up in their finest GOT costumes.
