Share

Pioneer DJ just announced the latest in rekordbox software, version 5.0, as well as the DDJ-XP1 add-on controller, designed to help you get the most out of rekordbox dj and rekordbox dvs. For dedicated rekordbox users, these new additions promise to bring a whole new sphere of creative possibilities to DJ performances.

Rekordbox version 5.0 got some notable improvements and promises a more stable and responsive performance, plus evolved library management and USB/SD export. Using the next-generation KORETECH engine, version 5.0 lets you perform intuitively with faster track loading and scrolling speed when browsing. An improved algorithm that analyses the characteristics of tracks and a fresh GUI with logical layout allows you to easily manage your music collection.

With the DDJ-XP1 DJ controller, Pioneer guarantees you’ll add new creative possibilities to your DJ performances and get the most out of the latest features in rekordbox 5.0. With a customizable interface and intuitive, tactile control over Hot Cues, Pad FX, Beat Jump, Sampler, Beat Loop and the new Key Shift and Keyboard modes, the DDJ-XP1 was designed to help you craft unique sets. Take a look at some of the key features below or check out the full specs here.

Key Features:

  • Intuitive layout with 32 low latency, durable Performance Pads
  • Slide FX strips to dynamically control your chosen combination of FX
  • Key shift to automatically change the key of your next track or mix any combination of tracks in perfect harmony
  • Keyboard lets you improvise sounds and create musical phrases
  • Silent cue helps you avoid speeding up music as your turntable starts to revolve
  • rekordbox dj license key bundled with controller upon activation
  • rekordbox dvs license key for highly responsive scratch control with music from a rekordbox library

The DDJ-XP1 will be available later this month for $249. You can download rekordbox 5.0 for free here and if you own a license key for one of the rekordbox Plus Packs (rekordbox dj, video, or dvs) you can upgrade to new version for free.
