rekordbox 6.1.1 Adds New Edit Mode for Making Your Own Edits of Tracks
Share

Just announced, Pioneer DJ has released rekordbox version 6.1.1 with new Edit Mode, allowing DJs to easily make custom versions of tracks. This new feature is available in the top tier monthly plan, the Creative plan, which also includes features like Cloud Library Sync and the recently added Vocal Position Detection feature. Keep reading for more.

Even if you’ve never edited music before, the brand new Edit Mode feature in rekordbox lets you easily create a custom version of any track you already own or have downloaded from BPM Supreme. It’s quick and simple to do things like extend an intro or outro to allow more time for mixing, or remove or loop sections of the track to keep the energy levels up.

In version 6.1.1, use the Beatgrid as a guide when you’re selecting the parts of the music you want to edit. This intuitive editing process includes a Palette function so you can temporarily store parts of a track you’re working on, making it quick and easy to get things sounding the way you want. Save your progress as a project file, and you can return to it and make more changes to the track whenever you like. Then, when it’s ready, export it as an audio file to your library and play it in your set immediately.

The rekordbox Creative plan is available for $14.99 per month, but right now you can try it out for free for one month – even if you’ve used a rekordbox free trial before. All features of the Creative plan include:

  • Export mode
  • Cloud Library Sync
  • Performance features
  • DVS control
  • Lyric feature
  • Video feature
  • Sequencer
  • RMX EFFECTS
  • Vocal position detection
  • Edit mode
