Serato DJ Pro 2.1 Introduces Serato Play, SoundCloud Streaming, and More
Share

Serato’s latest updates to Serato DJ Pro 2.1 and Serato DJ Lite 1.1 introduce a bunch of new and exciting features like its first fully-featured laptop-only DJing solution called Serato Play, streaming capabilities with both SoundCloud and TIDAL, and more.

Serato Play is a brand new paid expansion pack offering a fully featured offline option for DJing without hardware connected. This means you can use all of the features like FX, EQs, filters, cues, loops, and recording without hardware like controllers and mixers. And for only $39 USD, this is a great add-on to help with preparing your set or practicing your mixes on the fly.

Graduating from a previous public beta version, Serato DJ Pro 2.1 and Serato DJ Lite 1.1 now have full streaming integration with SoundCloud and TIDAL. If you have a SoundCloud Go+ account, you can stream directly in both Serato DJ Pro and Serato DJ Lite. Plus, Serato users can also stream directly from TIDAL’s catalog of 60 million tracks, including the option to stream in high-fidelity audio.

Another new feature in Serato’s latest update includes a Rane SEVENTY-TWO firmware update for Serato DJ Pro, bringing a new post-fader effect, fader start, improved pad response time and performance, and more. Read more about the new firmware update here.

The last update in Serato DJ Pro 2.1 and Serato DJ Lite 1.1 is official support for Mixars PRIMO, the 2-channel controller and mixer with standalone effects for Serato DJ.
